How DTF printing works?

First, an inkjet printer applies ink to a film made of PET (polyethylene terephthalate).

Next, an adhesive is applied to the print and the print is cured at high temperatures. This curing process allows the PET film to be stored for a long time without noticeable degradation of the image quality.

When a print shop wants to print with DTF, they simply prepare the fabric as needed (for example, cotton garments are usually preheated with a heat press, while polyester garments do not require any special treatment) and then apply the printed DTF image directly to the garment with a heat press.

Finally, the image is fixed to the garment with an adhesive using the heat and pressure applied by the heat press.
